It's not that I had a huge problem with TPP2, but was anyone else surprised at the amount of sexual references in this so-called "family film"?? I was a little shocked! I can't imagine having to explain to a 5-year-old what cleavage is or why Clouseau was reacting the way he was in certain scenes, etc! Not that I wanted them to change any of it, but I think it should've been rated PG-13.
What do the rest of you think?

I saw it today and thought it was amusing, though not as good as the last one. At least Aishwarya Rai was stunning!

I don't think I saw the coat in the actual film. That shot above must've been between takes, I guess.

well for me, it came down to Roger Moore and Steve Martin, and i've gone with Steve Martin for originality... Moore did a fabulous job, too, IMO, but he was more or less just playing Peter Sellers, whereas Steve Martin was really reinventing the character, which takes a lot of guts... and Martin's reinvention was much better than the previous attempts to create a new character by Wass or Benigni... it may not be totally solid reasoning, by some of your standards, but it works for me... Works for me!

I voted for Hercule. He wasn't great in Trail, but he was perfect in ASITD.

Has there ever been a Bond film without a tuxedo?

I think I remember reading somewhere arond here that the budget was less than the first film. $60 million, I think.

I don't know if I'll make it opening night, but I do plan to see it as early as I can.

Maybe Moore should have taken over the louseau role Moore was one of the funniest things about the movie, but I can't picture a whole film with Moore in the lead as Clouseau. I think that still would have been a little bit too weird.

Congratulations on tracking this down, Clouseau! It sure does seem like an interesting program! When I get a little time, I'll have to sit through the whole thing. Now if someone could just track down the That's Panthertainment featurette.

I think mostpeople will recognize that its just a comedy, but you're riht - a lot of people get easily offended sometimes. i can't count the number of people who actually got offended by things like Monty Python and the Holy Grail, but to me, it's just silliness.
I wouldn't be surprised if TPP2 is really tame, though, as far as anything that can be construed as offensive. If they're so uber-PC they had to get rid of Cato, I'd just be surprised if they're very sharp about anything else.
