Hi,
I just finished watching this. I have the Artisan DVD. This movie is great. It has so many classic scenes. I still think Strikes Again is my favorite. I also believe this is the one I saw as a kid at the drive in. I remember the desert area, and the guy in the thing on the outside of the truck. On odd thing I noticed, maybe it was meant to be? I don't know. Is when the Inspector is posing as the phone man, and he is in a room with the door locked, and this other man is knocking at the door, and he says "Inspector!". Now, if Clouseau was portraying the phone man, how could, I guess the butler? Know to call him "Inspector"? Anyone else catch that? Of course they all knew it was Clouseau, but they played along with it.

So far, I think my fave is Strikes Again, but I need to do a current rewatch of them. I do know what my bottom list is, if 10 is the total number:
6.The Pink Panther(06).(Pleasantly suprised) 7. Inspector Clouseau.(Too much like Borat, I need to give this a full viewing) 8.Trail of the Pink Panther.(Milking Sellers' name and image, and a set up for:) 9.Curse of the Pink Panther.(Better than Son, that's about in) 10.Son of the Pink Panther.(Too much like an escapee from a lunatic asylum)

I remember seeing a PP movie at a drive-in in the 70's. I am not sure which one it is.... I haven't watched them all recently, but I seem to recall a desert scene. I am thinking it may be Return, but I haven't seen it in a long while. I just know I saw a PP movie at a drive-in in the 70's.

Thanks. Yeah, Benigni was too much like as escapee from a lunatic asylum. It was worse than Curse.

Oh, and this is a question I had about Curse. When Wass 1st sees Moore, and he says "It's you!", what did he mean by that, and then when he wanted an autograph, he gave Moore the Sellers Clouseau picture to sign. I thought that was confusing.... Like Wass was in on the situation...

Hi Clouseau,
Yes, Big Lots has a big MGM sale. Been a few weeks now. They had all the PP movies, except the 1st one, and Return, and the Martin one. But all the others they had, and I picked them up, all for 3 bucks each.
Well, maybe not "making out", but quite a bit kissy, but I guess that's the french.

Hi,
I am 40yr old male. I live in KY, USA. I am a big movie fan and DVD collector. I recently bought all the PP DVDs. I like the comedy films of the Airplane/Naked Gun team. I love Kung Pow, and Team America. I also like Euro-cult and horror, Asian cult, classic Sci-fi and horror, and Ninja films. I like underground metal, and punk, and some new wave, art rock.

Hi,
I just joined. I have recently gotten into being a PP collector, when I stumbled on the Big Lots sale. I always enjoyed the Sellers movies, and have seen them on TV. I did buy PP63 a few years back at a Family Dollar for 5 bucks. I have since bought all the DVDs. This was my first time seeing the non-Sellers movie.... I wasn't too impressed. But I do think Martin is better than Wass and Benegni(this name just does not stick with me), and Arkin too, but I still need to give the Arkin movie a proper full viewing.

Hi,
Not "related film", but I did watch for the 1st time, the other day, Son of the Pink Panther. A few days before that, I watched Martin's PP, for the 1st time as well.

Hi,
I am new here, and recently bought all the PP movies on DVD. Yes, I had seen probably all the Sellers movies on TV, and one at the drive-in in the 70's.
I did recently see for the 1st time, the non Sellers PP films. I did not fully watch the Arkin film yet, maybe half of it so far. Arkin's character reminds me of Borat, and I actually think the actor that does Borat would have done a good Clouseau.
I think the Martin PP movie was not bad at all. It was not great, and you can't watch these movies with the mind of trying to compare Martin and Sellers, they are 2 different people.
I must say I think the Martin PP film was better than Trail, Curse, and Son. The last real Sellers PP was revenge. Trail was basically one last milking of Sellers name and image, and also was a blatant set-up for Curse. And Wass just didn't cut it, and Begnini was plain insane.
So, with that in mind, Martin's film was OK. Was it "needed".... maybe not, but considering the Edwards PP movies made after Sellers' passing, I think it was a good thing, because the last PP movie now(Martin's) is a lot better than Son, and I think it's best to have the last output better than the one before it.

Hi,
I just joined here. I have always enjoyed the PP movies, and recently bought all the DVDs, prompted by the recent Big Lots sale.
The other night I watched Son for the 1st time. It was OK, I guess, but I thought Bignini, I know I am misspelling that name, his character was way too crazy, like he was nuts, and nothing like Sellers character.
But my question is, near the ending, when Dreyfus is marrying Clouseau Jr's mother, we see a girl, who also has that accent, and then starts making out with Bignini, and then the mother says she has twins. So is that Clouseau's sister he is making out with?
