Smart Fortwo Stars Alongside Steve Martin in Pink Panther Sequel

STUTTGART, Germany — Steve Martin returns as bumbling Inspector Clouseau in the upcoming flick The Pink Panther 2, where he chases criminals from behind the wheel off his red Smart Fortwo coupe.
"Smart is the optimal company car in the movie," explains Anders Sundt Jensen, Mercedes-Benz vice president of brand communications. "Smart and the main character stand for unusual ways of thinking, irresistible charm and cleverness — and therefore have extraordinary success."
The vehicle shines during a crazy dash across Paris when viewers can see the peppy 71-horsepower engine in action. Later in that same scene, Inspector Clouseau has trouble finding a parking space until he parks perpendicular to traffic in a tight space — showcasing the Fortwo's compactness.
Naturally, there's a Web site tie-in. Would-be detectives can test their skills in an online game in which they attempt to track down the stolen Pink Panther Diamond. Check out the game here. Users who successfully find the diamond will qualify for a chance to win a Smart Fortwo.
Andy Garcia, Jean Reno and Emily Mortimer also appear in the film, which opens on February 6.
