So, which of all the Pink Panther films was the one that first introduced you to the series? For me, it was The Pink Panther Strikes Again, because I had been wanting to watch the movies for a while and had heard that it was one of the best... and I found that to be true.

my first memory of watchying a Panther film, i happened to walk into the room when my mom was watching Return on TV, and i asked what she was watching... i couldn't understand how the movie had anything to do with the cartoons , but i thought it looked funny, so i watched probably half of it or more... didn't realize which one it was til several years later, when i really started getting into the series, and what triggered the memory for me was watching the confrontation in Lady Lytton's hotel room near the end... when i saw that scene, i suddenly remembered having seen so much of it years before!

The first I saw was The Pink Panther. It was shown on the TV and I noticed David Niven was in it so I watched it. And I saw the others naturally after that.

Mine is much like Clouseau above. I was very young at the time, my mum was watching 'Return and I entered the room, and sat watching it, laughing.

I remember seeing a PP movie at a drive-in in the 70's. I am not sure which one it is.... I haven't watched them all recently, but I seem to recall a desert scene. I am thinking it may be Return, but I haven't seen it in a long while. I just know I saw a PP movie at a drive-in in the 70's.

Return came out in '75, Strikes Again in '76, and Revenge in '78, so it would have been one of those three... off the top of my head, i can't think of any desert scenes in TPPSA or RevOTPP, but i know there were some in Return, so i'm betting that's probably what you saw... maybe it'll all come back to you when you re-watch them...

Mine was Revenge - I think it was rented on Betamax video. I was about 8 years old at the time!!! I then got into the others - I think the order was Revenge - Strikes Again - A Shot In The Dark - PP - Return - then Inspector Clouseau by accident on TV. I've only seen Trail and Curse quite recently (in the last 6 years probably, as I got the VHS vids off eBay), and Son too, although I do recall aged 10 when Curse came out a feature on TV showing the famous Dreyfus bazooka-ing himself off the cliff stunt! My favourite used to be Return, but now its Revenge, although all of the PS ones are of a similar high quality (excluding Trail), although I have to say Strikes Again is probably my least favourite and a touch over-rated despite Lom's excellent performance. And as some of you may have realised, I have a sympathetic soft spot for Curse. I've not seen either of the Steve Martin ones yet.

Mine was STRIKES AGAIN. It was a revelation as if suddenly the universe made sense. A very strange and emotional turning point for a little kid. In that moment, I knew what I was and what I wanted to be. That, in essence, is why I remain devoted to this series. I experienced an epiphany the first time I saw one, it was far more than just the funniest movie.
