Last night I got a call-in for the Shokus radio program in LA where they were discussing classic cartoons with historian Jerry Beck. The broadcast repeats Feb 28, 29 and March 1 at 7-9pm EST at www.shokusradio.com My call about the Pink Panther was at the very tail-end so you'd probably only would want to tune in during the last 5 minutes. Or if you're a classic cartoon freak like me, you can listen to the whole thing. Lots of insightful info. If you're on the West Coast, it rebroadcasts at 4pm - 6pm. |

hey, wow! i don't know how, but i totally overlooked where you mentioned in your opening post that Jerry Beck was the guest! i tuned in for the last few minutes, just hoping to catch your question, but if i had known, i might've tried to listen to the whole thing, or at least a bigger chunk of it! i loved his Ultimate Guide to the Pink Panther, and i know he's done stuff on a lot of other classics... maybe i'll have the time, and i'll be able to catch more of it at one of the other broadcast times... not sure, but i'll have to see... you weren't kidding when you said you were near the end of the show! last question of the whole thing! if someone is unable to tune in at the right time, or if they're just not interested in other cartoons, and they wanna cut to the chase (or for brandon, if you'd just like to have this for yourself), i recorded the last 2:35 of the show for you... the clip starts just before brandon's question and runs to the end of the show (i left it in because it tells when Jerry Beck will be back on the show in the future, in case anyone's interested)... you can download the clip for a limited time (7 days from the time of this post) by CLICKING HERE!  |
