LOS ANGELES—MGM Consumer Products is augmenting its internal licensing team with the addition of new partnerships with Brandgenuity and Jokar Productions, and an expansion of its relationship with Brand Sense Partners.
MGM will continue to maintain an internal team of licensing and product development specialists, which will supervise strategy, creative services, marketing and consumer/trade messaging.
Brandgenuity, New York, will manage licensing efforts for many of MGM’s entertainment properties, including The Pink Panther, Pink Panther & Pals, the Stargate franchises, Storm Hawks, Fame, Robocop, Death Wish and Legally Blonde.
Jokar Productions, Los Angeles, will oversee MGM’s worldwide publishing efforts. The company is headed by Jon Rosenberg, former MGM Consumer Products executive director of global licensed publishing.
Brand Sense Partners, Los Angeles, which had been handling MGM’s trademark licensing business in non-traditional licensing categories, will add to its responsibilities oversight of licensing sales and product development for MGM’s massive film library. The company has already been tasked with developing and expanding new genre-based consumer products programs, in addition to efforts to grow the Rocky and Highlander franchises.
