any suggestions for how to boost membership/participation around here?
everyone who's joined so far (i think) has been folks that i personally invited simply because i figured you'd be interested, but i dunno how to really "advertise" the site beyond that...
any ideas???

i've added the site link a few places around IMDB (thanks Mancini), and i went and added it with Google (thanks Dreyfus)... maybe i'll check around wikipedia, too, later, and see if there are more places on that site where i can add it that perhaps you didn't think of... are there any other ideas of places/methods to advertise, to get the word out and build this place up a little?? i don't wanna do something random/badgering, but if there are ways to draw real PP fans, that's what we need...  |

nah, i've been kinda avoiding that particular option... MI6 doesn't usually like folks advertising other forums on their site... there's a thread specifically for recommending outside sites, but they even ask there that you not recommend other forum sites... i'll check out that other site, though... thanks! |

As a non-Bond site, I think you could get away with it! MI6 just despise those who make free, sub-standard, MI6-style-clones and splash their drivle all over unrelated topics. I don't think that a topic at MI6 would hurt! |

i might consider mentioning it in the pre-existing Pink Panther thread there, then, maybe... i'm not sure, though, because i hate coming off like i'm tooting my own horn, you know what i mean? i did add it to my profile there, though, so folks who hit the little "www" button next to my posts will come here... i dunno... i wanna advertise, but i just don't wanna over-do it, if that makes sense... we'll see... |
