several cartoons were spin-offs of the Pink Panther... which one is your favorite? personally, i liked The Inspector... they never named him, but it's evident, IMO, that he's based on Clouseau, and i've always thought Sgt. Deaux Deaux was hilarious! it's a shame they only made 30 episodes!

I have seen enough of the cartoons to know who the Inspector is and I do quite like him.

I love The Inspector because he remined of Inspector Clouseau, everyone keeps calling him that now, instead of "The Inspector." I like Sgt. Deux-Dexu from The Inspector cartoon short, he's... funny, but not as funnier then Blue Aardvark. The Aardvak is always the funniest one from the Ant and the Aardvark cartoon (laughing and sniffing), and I also love the ant. JSCARTOONFAN

Definately the inspector! In the 90's shorts, I'm glad Pinkie ( I call him that lol) and the inspector are partners! ^^

I only really recall the Inspector, Ant & Aardvark and Crazylegs Crane. But some of the others Clouseau posted pictures of look familiar.
I would love to see an ultimate DVD collection released of all the cartoons (Pink Panther and the cartoon friends), with all the classic pre-Steve Martin movies (ie including Inspector Clouseau, Return, Trail, Curse and Son).

Yes, but at least it would be a complete (pre Steve Martin) classic box set! I'm in the UK and have a flimsy purple/pink box set containing all the PS PP movies except Return, a separate DVD of Return, a separate of Curse (and I now have Son and Insp C on order). But it will all look a bit of a chronological mish-mash on my shelf! And reading about the cartoons reminds me of summer holiday mornings, as that's what used to be on TV over breakfast - so I'd love to see those cartoon shorts again :-)

I'll have to think about my favorite!
When I was younger, the Pink Panther was on TNT, and now it's on Boomerang...I mention this because:
While both channels always played the Inspector, as well as The Ant and the Aardvark, neither of them played the Dogfather (so I've still never seen it, I only know him and his gang from the 1990's Pink Panther show) only TNT played Hoot Kloot, Roland Rattfink, and only Boomerang plays Blue Racer, Crazylegs Crane, Tijuana/Texas Toads, and MisterJaw. I wonder what that's all about?
Back then I didn't know the cartoons in the second category, so when a Pink Panther VHS I purchased came with a Mister Jaw figure, I didn't really know what connection it had with the Pink Panther (but it was still cool, and I was quite amused by the seemingly randomness of it). He wasn't on the VHS, either.

Of course now The Inspector and Ant & the Aardvark cartoons are on DVD which is a good thing. I opted for the Region 2 DVD with The Inspector shorts since Volume 2 was only sold in the ultra-expensive box set in the States.
Interestingly, it was noted that The Inspector is never named, but in the comic books of the early seventies, he is although Clouseau is misspelled Clouzot like the director rather than the film character.
