Yes I got the box set, as well as "the revenge of the pink panther", "the pink panther strikes back" on dvd by themselves, and "son of the pink panther"
i have "curse" and "return" on order, and then i will get them on vhs, just as a collectors item

TPP63 is the only other disc that has something more... it has a director's commentary with Blake Edwards, and it has a "trivia track" that's basically where a lot of pop up windows appear while you watch the movie... We have that too. sounds like R1 got gipped!  It's normally the other way round! :wink: i do wish there was a way i could obtain a copy of just that bonus disc from the R2 release, though, so i could see the commercials and That's Panthertainment... I can send you the commercials, but not the Panthertainment (It's not very good anyway). |

I bought IC, CotPP, SotPP and the Pink Panther 2006 whilst on holiday. I found fye was the best place to get them. Target was quite good also.

well if you get the first film, the only thing you won't have that the film collection has is the bonus DVD... so if you can live without that, you're in good shape...  |

well i certainly felt like an idiot tonight... i was thumbing through my DVD collection looking for something to watch, and i stopped on The Unknown Peter Sellers, which, as i mentioned before, i bought on a separate DVD because the R1 boxset didn't include it... now i had watched the special back when i first bought the DVD, and i was going to be content with just watching the special again, but for whatever reason, i flipped the case over, and i came to the shocking revelation that the disc included some bonus features!  ...i don't know why i'd never looked before, but i was thrilled and delighted to see that the disc was fairly loaded! not only did the bonus features include the three Barclay's Bank commercials, three TWA commercials, and behind-the-scenes TWA featurette which i had been informed were also on the R2 boxset but excluded from my R1, but it also included excerpts from a rather lengthy interview Sellers gave back in 1971, which i had not previously seen! what an exciting evening i had! now if only i could get my hands on that That's Panthertainment! featurette ...that's the only R2 bonus feature i have yet not seen! |

Peter Seller's career must of hit a low if he started to do Barclay's commercials.

But those commercials were made pretty much near the end of Sellers' life. He died shortly after shooting a fourth one that has never been aired.
