i got up extra early this morning, and i picked up my copy of The Pink Panther (2006) at Wal Mart this morning on the way to work... there were three ways to buy it: - all by itself
- in a "2 movies for the price of 1" package with Steve Martin's Roxanne
- with an "exclusive" CD featuring 5-6 songs on it (including Beyonce's "Check On It")
i got the 2nd option there, because Roxanne was on my list of movies i wanted to eventually buy anyway, and the CD didn't look that appealing to me (though it did have a picture of a pink diamond on the front)...

Yeah I probably would have gone for that option. Where would you suggest is the best palce to find the other films like COTPP, IC, TSOTPP? I think I read somewhere that you had trouble finding them. Is Fye likely to sell them?

i dunno if FYE would have them or not... we don't have one around here, so i never looked there... there was a local drugstore that had some of them, but i didn't find out about that til i finally gave up and ordered mine off Amazon.com... i was surprised Wal Mart didn't even have them!

GAH! if only i had known (and had an FYE around) when i went to get mine! oh, i guess i should add "The Life and Death of Peter Sellers" to my list... it's not a PP film, i know, but it's related, so that should count, right?!

I love the cover of the IC dvd. i preferred the VHS cover, myself... it was just more artsy, whereas the DVD cover is more silly, IMO... i dunno...

well although it's not a PP film, i've got another kinda related DVD to add to my list: "The Unknown Peter Sellers"... it's an hour-long biography/documentary about Sellers... also, i forgot to mention them earlier (though i did mention them in other threads), but i also have recently obtained VHS copies of "A Pink Christmas" and "Pink at First Sight"...

The Unknown Peter Sellers is on the Region 2 Film Collection - isn't it on the R1 version as well?

well looking through the other discs, the Shots in the Dark photo gallery was apparently broken up for the R1 release, as that segment is listed on every disc except the bonus disc, along with each film's theatrical trailer... TPP63 is the only other disc that has something more... it has a director's commentary with Blake Edwards, and it has a "trivia track" that's basically where a lot of pop up windows appear while you watch the movie... sounds like R1 got gipped! oh well... i'm still happy to have the movies... and at least i have my own copy of The Unknown Peter Sellers now... i do wish there was a way i could obtain a copy of just that bonus disc from the R2 release, though, so i could see the commercials and That's Panthertainment... ...i wonder why in the world they didn't include them in the R1 release...
