I like it. Nice work. I still picture Sellers in the role when I think of The Romance of the Pink Panther though.

not a bad idea... i'd like to see more RomOTPP artwork, if folks wanna do some more... in this poster, Martin looks a little fuzzy, which kinda threw me off, but besides that, it's pretty cool...

Posting this here because I don't want to make a new thread yet, but I'm actually working on a script for my own sequel; it's not necessarily going to be based on Clouseau, but kind of like how "Curse of the Pink Panther" was, with a new character, although it is based on finding Clouseau. the storyline will be set on the present tense, so 20 or so years after Clouseau disappeared. It's something I persue as a hobby, I'm a musician primarily, so it's good to have a different creative outlet like this, it's a challenge for me, but I did always like to write. I've got a few different ideas for a storyline. I use the title "Legacy of the Pink Panther". I might share more later if you don't think its a pathetic idea

sounds like a fine idea to me! please do set up a new thread for it if you want to discuss it at length, though, so that this thread can remain on topic... but yes, i'd certainly love to read it when you've completed it!

thanks Clouseau, yeah, i will do that, but I wasn't sure if it was worth posting a new topic for lol anyway yeah sorry for taking this off topic. thats a cool poster though you made britishchap.. the font is awesome
in terms of the movie itself though they should just leave the idea alone.. even if they were going to make it, its still not the same without the original cato, francois, dreyfus.. thats why i was getting distracted when watching the latest one with Steve Martin.. nothing to say about his quality as an actor.. just the whole idea and background

A few days ago I have also decided to write a Panther sequel for my own because there are so many ideas in my mind how the story would go on after CotPP. And now I saw this post...ben, I would really like to see it! What I am doing in the moment is the script named "Heritage of the Pink Panther" which plays shortly after "Curse of the Pink Panther" when Clouseau is returning. I won't tell more about that in the moment, but I am very happily surprised that there's someone else who plans to do something like that.

Wow I was going through old threads and I come across all this stuff I forgot about. The novel thing is still an ongoing idea for me, but I'm changing the ideas.. I guess rather than base it on any sort of realistic time line though... I dunno.. This will be one of my main projects for 2007 that's for sure. This is only vague but one of the persistent ideas I have is it being kind of like a cross between Curse of the Pink Panther and something ripped off any one of the James Bond movies... Possibly picking up where Curse leaves off, or shortly thereafter that period of time, primarily centered around Scotland Yard since the idea of the seurte "investigating" Clouseau's death, Dreyfus trying to make sure Clouseau stays disappeared, immediate successors of Clouseau (e.g clifton sleigh, jack gumbrelli) etc has been beaten to death, at least in the french perspective. At least this time there are one or more incidents concluding with immediate links to Clouseau, in a darker way, kind of sequenced similar to what you'd see in one of the old james bond films. I don't know if this makes sense, but this idea only started to make sense one or two days ago so when I get a better idea ill post and enquire your feedback
