The Pink Panther will strike at the Cochrane RancheHouse next Thursday, during Bow Valley High School’s second drama production of the year, The Pink Panther Strikes Again.
The 45 grade 10 to 12 Bow Valley High students who are involved in the production have been hard at work to replicate the story line of the movie since December.
The show stars Grade 12 student Greg Wilson, who will be playing Inspector Jacques Clouseau.
“He is fabulous, he has really worked hard at this show,” said Jodi Hogan, drama teacher at Bow Valley, commenting on the hard work of Wilson.
Hogan is impressed with all of the hard work of the cast in this performance.
“They have worked up to it (the performance,) especially the boys, they don’t really get into drama until their Grade 11 year,” said Hogan.
Being involved in a co-curricular program like this can be very stressful on students and their time, but it yields rewards.
“The biggest skill is hitting deadlines to get it ready in time and the dedication it takes to work as a team towards one goal,” said Hogan, referring to the skills that the students will take away from the performance.
Hogan feels that the performance will have the audience laughing with the fast pace of the performance and the animated characters
“It is very action packed,” said Hogan, referring to the 22 scenes that are all under three minutes.
“The characters are outrageous,” added Hogan with a laugh.
The school is hosting a special VIP night on March 22 at the Cochrance RancheHouse. Organizers ask for people to RSVP at the reception desk of Cochrane Dodge at 932-4072. March 23 and 24 performance tickets can be purchased at Great Things In Store and are $8 for adults and $5 for students and seniors.
