Well I think its mainly about the cartoon short series. It should be quite interesting. The DK films books are usually interesting.

I'll post my review in here too saves making another topic. Curse of the Pink PantherTed Wass as Sgt Clifton Sleigh: Dont get me wrong Ted Wass was good at playing a bumbling detective, but I dont think he was suited for a Pink Panther film. I just need to try and remember he's not Clouseau and try to stop comparing him to peter Sellers. Herbert Lom as Dreyfus: Well to be honest, there is never anything different about Lom's performances. I am a big fan of him and his character but nothing spectacular. David Niven as Sir Charles Litton: I was very happy to see Niven back even though his decline in health. I think Rich Little did well in dubbing the lines. I actualyl think they wanted to bring him back as he was the only big name star really. He is not in many scenes yet still credited as the main character. Robert Wagner as George Litton: Nothing amazing still nice to have him there. I liked how they included the Littons in the film. Roger Moore as Inspector Clouseau : As a fan of Roger Moore I was delighted to see him in the film. His French accent was actually quite good as well. ______________________________________________ The Plot: This was not too bad. I liked the idea of Dreyfus rigging the computer to find the worst detective. ________________________________________ Overall: This film certainly does have a few funny moments. I would definately not want another Sleigh film but it was ok as a one off. My favourite parts are: Emmmm I've actually forgotten the bits I enjoyed (That just shows they must not of been that funny) - Seeing Roger Moore as Clouseau - Dreyfus rigging the computer - Sleigh undercover at the start of the film ____________________________________ Rating: 6/10

Maybe I'm being too harsh on Mr. Wass just because I'm annoyed he is not Clouseau. I just feel they tried to make him like an American Clouseau. Sellers put on an accent and wasnot just funny physically but in the way he said things. Sleigh is just basically someone who trips up a lot and is all slapstick.

Nice Review. I hated the Sleigh character I must admit. I knew he would be no Clouseau but still - I was interested. The best part of the film was Dreyfus & Cato.

Yes TPPSA was certainly the strangest PP movie, in the others you never see Dreyfus crazy enough to build a doomsday machine

dont know if this was said, but i dont like how litton doesnt have a mustach. the butler shoulda played him Welcome to the forums It doesn't really bother me. Christopher Plummer's Phantom was more believable than David Nivens. he was younger so you could believe that eh was actually capable of pulling off the theft of the diamond.

We differ a bit on opinions of Sellers but I do see what you mean. I was wondering what you said about his voice too it sounds very diiferent compared to the previous films.

The Revenge of the Pink Panther (1978) Cast:Peter Sellers as Chief Insp. Jacques Clouseau I think this was one of Sellers better performances as Closueau. It seemed that he was more relaxed in the role and was enjoying the charatcer. Herbert Lom as Chief Insp. Charles Dreyfus: It was nice to see Dreyfus leave the mental institution and join the police force again. Burt Kwouk as Cato Fong: Well this I think is the best film with Cato as he is more of a central character and they developed him and added him in more of the gags. Dyan Cannon as Simone Legree: Well she looked lovely. It would have been nice for her to return in Trail of the Pink panther. Robert Webber as Philippe Douvier: He was a good villian. I like this character but feel they could have developed him more. Plot: This is my favourite of all the PP plots. It was without a doubt the funniest. I like the Balls characters and it was nice to know where Clouseau's disguises came from. I alos like how most of the characters thought Clouseau was dead throughout the film. Its basically a powerful businessman who tries to kill Clouseau. Music: Well I love the music in this film. The Hong Kong fireworks which is used in the Hong Kong scenes is fantastic. The title music was nto very special but still good. Overall: This is my favourite film of the series. It features Cato & Dreyfus as more important characters. The music is excellent. Its probably the funniest. My favourite parts of it are - When Cato's car driven by Clouseau is take by Claude Russo (transvestite criminal) and Clouseau is forced to put the womans clothing on. - The scenes where Cato steals the snack bike and is driving through the city. - The end of the film in the Fireworks factory. - When Closueau is hiding in Dreyfus's closet and says "Peekabeau" There are many more but these are a few that come to mind. My Personal Rating: 9/10 MOD EDIT: just corrected spelling of thread title...
