That is Monsieur Guy Gadbois, master salesman from Dijon in the Palace Hotel bar in Gstaad from RETURN. Incidentally, Clouseau's false identity was an in-joke for Blake Edwards' financial advisor whose name really was Guy Gadbois.

Monsieur Ballon is correct. Of course the scene as filmed was Clouseau and Francois visiting Dreyfus at the Hopital Psychiatrique at the start of STRIKES AGAIN, but it was cut and re-used for TRAIL.

The original Pink Panther (1963). I believe that is The Phantom in Rome.

Actually, would you mind posting other examples if you are aware of them? It would certainly interest me (and give me more time to try to think of a trivia question).

I'll take a crack at it...
1.) The Cato fight in STRIKES AGAIN when Clouseau trips on Dreyfus' periscope. 2.) The Cato fight in REVENGE with Clouseau dressed as Toulouse Lautrec jumps on the collapsed bed. 3.) The fall Clouseau dressed as The Godfather takes at the Lee Key Shipyards in REVENGE. 4.) When Clouseau in full cast falls down the airplane steps in the STRIKES AGAIN outtake recycled for TRAIL. 5.) When Clouseau trips on the man walking the German Shepherd in an expanded STRIKES AGAIN outtake filmed especially for TRAIL.
if that last one doesn't qualify I'll add the following...
6.) When Clouseau crashes through the kitchen of the Japanese restaurant at the end of RETURN.

You're right, but its the Army-Navy game (American football) that Dreyfus interrupts. I always loved President Ford (veteran Panther stunt coordinator Dick Crockett)'s line..."Call the FBI, the CIA, and the Pentagon...find out who won the game!" When you realize they're parodying the outcry that greeted the starring debut of Edwards' daughter, the scene takes on added meaning.
In any event, its your turn to serve up further Panter trivia.

Okay, bear with me. Some of you may be familiar with the infamous Heidi Bowl incident in which the 1968 film version of the children's classic, HEIDI [which starred Blake Edwards' daughter, Jennifer Edwards in the title role] was broadcast by NBC television as scheduled thereby cutting off the last few minutes of the New York Jets vs. Oakland Raiders game which was being televised by the network. During the final minute of play, the Raiders scored two touchdowns and won the game and the only people that saw were the spectators in the stadium as every house in America watching the game were now seeing HEIDI.
My question is who among you knows where and how Blake Edwards used this incident to serve as the basis for a sequence in the Panther series?

Tony Adams plays the waiter at The Palace Hotel who brings Catherine Schell her drink from "Monseiur Gadbois" in RETURN and he's rather prominently shown in the background at the Dreyfus-Gambrelli wedding reception in SON.

Does anyone want me to tell them? I had added the information to IMDB a few months back so it may be there.

Julie Andrews. Sorry for the late response, but circumstances have forced my protracted absence lately.

I'll say RETURN and TO CATCH A THIEF. Do I get bonus points for the Panther's impersonation of ALFRED HITCHCOCK PRESENTS titles during the main title for STRIKES AGAIN?
