So,
Like many others, after seeing the trailers of the remake by Steve Martin and an agonizing 20 minutes of the film I gave up.
The only little light in the dark has been the Clouseau effort by Geoffrey Rush in "The Life and Death of Peter Sellers" but that didn't carry all the way.
However, I think there is hope for the future.
After watching the TV show - The Americans, I saw an uncanny resemblance to our favorite character.
What do you say?
Matthew Rhys - same droopy eyelids, same staring eyes, same nose, same smirk on the mouth, same nature for impersonations.
I think he would make an outstanding Inspector Clouseau.
Now if only somebody in Hollywood could see this too.
