I was looking at how much the Pink Panther movies grossed (in the US) since being released and I found it quite interesting.
The Pink Panther (1963) - $10,878,107 A Shot in the Dark - $12,368,234
Return of the Pink Panther - $41,833,347
The Pink Panther Strikes Again - $33,833,201
Revenge of the Pink Panther - $49,579,269
Trail of the Pink Panther - $9,056,073
Curse of the Pink Panther - $4,491,986
Son of the Pink Panther - $2,438,031
The Pink Panther 06 - $82,226,474 (Domestic) + $76,624,883 (Worldwide)
I always thought that Trail, Curse and Son did a bit better than that but obviously I was wrong.

well i knew Curse did poorly, because it was barely publicized after Trail flopped so hard, but i'm surprised to see that Son was so low... btw, where's the figure for IC?

I searched for it but I couldn't find it at all. I'm guessing it would be about $500,000 though, I can't see it doing to well.

Wow. "Revenge" actually made the most amount of money. I was certain that it was "Return."

That surprises me, too. I would have thought The Pink Panther Strikes Again would be the highest!

And if you subtract the 1.5 mil that Seller's widow received, the take for Trail dips down below 7 million - they deserve it, though
Funny that Strikes Again did significantly worse than Return, but then Revenge does so well. Maybe the ad campaign was better for Revenge
I know the info is not available, but I'd love to know what they spent on each of these. They didn't make much money after Seller's death, but they probably weren't risking a whole ton of money, either
