Forget all the other Panthers, which is better The Pink Panther 2006 with Steve Martin or Arkin as the title role in Inspector Clouseau?

are you comparing the quality of the films? or the quality of the portrayals of Clouseau alone? aw, it doesn't matter... TPP06 for me, all the way!

In either case, I prefer Arkin-Yorkin as failed Sellers-Edwards substitutes to Martin-Levy reshaping the series for a generation that is younger than me. My kids would vote differently.

Thats unfair - I I thought it was PANTHER 63 vs INSPECTOR, in which case I do prefer the original. But I accidently vote the 2006 abomination.
Its Arkin's Clouseau for me...

Martin's Clouseau was actually better because he was virtually unaware of his incompetence (although that does mirror Sellers' Clouseau who knew he was an idiot but egotistically never acknowledged it).
Arkin's was okay. But a little too whiney to not be annoying.
