Oooh, now isn't this is a toughie!
There are just so many to choose from... the champagne bottle exploding in Clouseau and Simone's bed (TPP63)... Clouseau calling Maria Gambrelli 'darling' as she leaves his office (ASITD)... the traffic jam (ASITD)... Cato jumping out of the fridge (ASITD)... Clouseau driving a cart into the swimming pool for the second time (TROTPP)... Clouseau destroying Claudine's hotel room (TROTPP)... and so and so on...
However, my favourite is none of those, no, it has to be Clouseau on the parallel bars in TPPSA - 'Ah yes, ah yes, it's all coming back to me now... ah yes, ah-AARRRRGGHHHH...!' Utterly side-splittingly brilliant!
But what about you...?

well i think my favorite bit is from RetOTPP, when Clouseau impersonates a telephone repairman at the Lyttons' house... but to narrow it down to just one moment from that scene is a hard call (no pun intended)... i guess the part where he gets stuck underneath the desk and flips the whole thing over... that was pretty hilarious!

Yes, another absolute classic from that film is when Clouseau is idiotically posing as an orotund charmer in order to get information out of Lady Lytton, and he says to her ''Ere's leeeoookeeng at you keeed' and makes the actress, the lovely Catherine Schell, laugh - thanks to betsy they kept that moment in!

A favourite of mine has to be the nudist camp scene in ASITD. Its not rude yet its still really funny.

Any line from Shot in the Dark...but the best is when he's playing pool with the bridge...and Balon is like...thats the Bridge..and Peter is like.....aw the bridge cue yes...I think I prefer the good old fashioned playing cue...you know??
or the part when hes like..."You came home early, found maurice with Maria Gambrelli and killed him in a fit of realous jage!"
or when hes trying to put the cues back and they all fall off...and he says that you should have the person who made the rack investigated...then when leaving he walks out the wrong side of the door and into the wall...then says "I suggest you have your architect investigated as well"
hahahahaha I could go on but I won't
I LOVE PETER SELLERS!!

Yes, welcome along, ilovepeter!
Another terrific moment in ASITD is when Clouseau and Cato are in the midst of their first tussle and the phone rings and, completely unexpectedly, Cato breaks off to answer the phone for his master (in the midst of a headlock I believe) - that truly is a classic cinema moment, methinks!
I also love the bit in TRevOTPP (I think it is) when Clouseau comes back 'from the dead' to find Cato and his cohorts have turned the former's apartment into a brothel - that bit's just so deliciously, absurdly funny! ;D

Hello. New member.
May I just say I LOVE this forum!
Anyway, my favorite moment has to be my signature, and the interogation scene in STRIKES AGAIN. The Panther series at its funniest!

I like Catos sentence: There are just so many to choose from... But I try: As georgelytton, I think the interrogation in TPPSA is so funny (One word: Stutterstutt! ;D) it almost hurts. And the opening scene (it lasts 10 minutes!) is so great, too with Dreyfuß falling into the water so often... Great idea by Edwards, great acting by Peter Sellers and Herbert Lom. I also loved the scene in the first Pink Panther where Simone has to hide George AND Charles from Clouseau until the big bang... And the "Solution" Scene in ASITD is also great.

*special mention has to go to the opening scenes of Return of the Pink Panther, for the execution of the theft of the Pink Panther diamond... sure, it wasn't a funny part, but it has to be one of the best (if not the best) successful thefts ever captured on film!

Yes, Another of my favourites from return is when Clouseau is testing the wax.

Which wax was it, BTW?

I dont think they tell you but Clouseau suspected it was English wax as Sir Charles Phantom, the notorious Lytton is English.
