Rear Window is my favourite Hitchcock at the moment. Although there a few I've still to see (Frenzy, Family Plot, Rope, Marnie), but I'm not really expected any of those to top Vertigo, Psycho, The Birds or Rear Window.

Not really a movie, but I've been watching John Cleese in Fawlty Towers. Definitely one of the best sitcoms around, pity they only made 12 episodes

I watched Consenting Adults starring Kevin Kline, pretty decent thriller... Also saw a bit of In and Out starring Kline as well.

The International starring Clive Owen, it was fairly average. I thought it was Duplicity, so was a bit dissapointed when I realised it wasn't.

I thought it was Duplicity, so was a bit dissapointed when I realised it wasn't. heh, guess that's what happens when the lead actor is in two films released within just over a month of each other... doesn't help that they're advertising Duplicity 4 times an hour on every TV station 3 weeks before it's even coming out! i've seen a lot of mixed feelings over The International... normally i'd have seen it opening weekend, but i knew Duplicity was coming, and it looks like the more interesting of the two to me, so i'm saving a little cash and waiting for Duplicity for now (though i may break down and see The International before too long, if i can't stand it)... will you still be going to see Duplicity now?

I'll definitely see Duplicity, although the prospect of Julia Roberts being in it, is a big negative for me. The International was a thriller about 'European Banking' and if I'd looked into it before I saw it, I would have stayed away. Owen is still good though but Naomi Watts character is really forced and doesn't really gel with the film. Maybe it's one for you to rent seen as you're a big Clive Owen fan.

oh, i'm sure i'll buy the DVD to keep my collection complete... just a question of whether or not i feel like i can afford to bother with it in theaters when i know Duplicity is coming soon and it looks so much better...

i saw Duplicity tonight... the trailer is misleading, because it's not really a comedy - it's a drama with funny moments - but the drama, the spying part of it, is really interesting, and i really liked the ending... i'll be the first to say it's not for everyone, though... the first half hour is a little hard to follow the first time through, but if you make it past that, it's pretty good, i think...

Tbh I didn't find the trailer overly funny but I did still want to see it for the cast and the whole ex-spy idea, which sounded interesting. But I think I'll just wait for the DVD. I was originally meant to see it last night but saw Knowing instead (unfortunately).

I was originally meant to see it last night but saw Knowing instead (unfortunately). i could've warned you not to bother with that! you seem to have a bad habit of going to see one thing and ending up watching something else... this is twice you've intended to see Duplicity and haven't seen it!
