it can be a Pink Panther movie or a movie starring Peter Sellers or Herbert Lom or Burt Kwouk or somebody else who appeared in a Panther film, or a movie directed by a Panther director or anything like that. what was the latest for you? for me it was Revenge of the pink panther. EDITED BY CLOUSEAU: just capitalized "Panther" in the thread title...

nice idea for a thread, pinkadilly...
for me, it was about a week and a half ago, but my latest was Hoffman (1970), starring Peter Sellers... i posted about it on another site at the time, and here's what i had to say about it:

The latest one I watched was The Pink Panther Strikes Again with one of my friends last night. ;D Also, right before that, we watched The Phantom of the Opera (1962) in which Herbert Lom starred as the Phantom. Seeing him in that movie was actually how I discovered the Pink Panther series.

I watched
The Dead Zone: Starring Herbert lom. I really enjoyed this as it has a great cast of Christopher Walken, Martin Sheen, and Herbert Lom. I have the book and now I need to start to read that.

well today i watched Casino Royale (1967), a parody of James Bond starring David Niven and Peter Sellers and featuring Burt Kwouk in an uncredited cameo... i've seen this film several times now, and i originally hated it, because i think i was trying too hard to compare it to the other Bond films, but when i don't focus so much on the other Bond movies and just try to enjoy it for what it is, it's a lot of fun! one of those movies you have to be in the right mood/mind-set for, but it's definitely a lot better than i originally gave it credit for...

i'm currently watching The Jerk on the USA network... this has long been among my favorite Steve Martin films... absurdity at its best!

Really a good thread idea, pinkadilly!
Last sunday i watched
Curse of the pink panther
and I was really surprised how much I liked it this time (it's the second time I watched it, by the way). It's my favorite non-Sellers film now and I even put it above "Trail of the pink panther". Maybe one of the reasons was that I watched the english original; a warning here: NEVER watch "Curse" in the German version, because Dreyfuß has suddenly a (terrible) french accent.
But also apart from the speech, I liked the whole film much better...

i watched Peter Sellers in Lolita (1962) this morning on TCM... i'd never seen it before, so i was very interested... didn't quite know what to expect, and i did enjoy it to an extent, but i don't know that i'll rush right out and get the DVD... not that there's anything inherently wrong with the film, but it just didn't excite me like some of Sellers' other films have...

just today, i sat down and watched Mixed Nuts, starring Steve Martin, which has over the last few years become one of my favorite oddball Christmas-time movies... it's pretty weird, but it's really grown on me, is all i can say... am i the only one who's watching Panther-related movies anymore??!!

Trail of the Pink Panther: First panther film I've watched in ages. I really enjoyed this. I think its put together very well and like the interview style. Although, I think Joanna Lumley is great actress but she just annoys me as Marie Jouvet and seems very stuck up. However I enjoyed this but there was not a lot of Cato scenes.

the best part of Trail, IMO, is the Sellers montage/tribute that plays over the end credits... my latest was The Return of the Pink Panther... 8)

i watched Peter Sellers and David Niven in Murder By Death twice yesterday... i can't decide if i want to describe it as wonderful and imaginative or weird and confusing... whichever it is, i enjoyed it... it's just... interesting...
