welcome tothe forum, bbcgull - hope you like it here! most folks will tell you to avoid "Inspector Clouseau" (which starred Alan Arkin instead of Peter sellers), and maybe Trail, Curse, and Son of the Pink Panther (all made after Sellers died), and there is a large group that also dislikes the newer movies with Steve Martin... THAT SAID, there are some here who like some/all of the aforementioned films, and each has its pros and cons, so the only way to really know for sure, i'd say, is for you to try them all! so feel free to jump in anywhere you like and have fun... also, you can learn more about some of the other members and tell us more about yourself (if you like) here: therapeuticpink.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=lounge&action=display&thread=17Cheers!

Welcome to the forum, glad to have you here. I'd say all the films are worth a watch, they differ hugely in quality but even Inspector Clouseau, Curse, Son, Trail and the two Martin ones have their redeeming features. I can't really guide you on the cartoons though.

Hello, bonjour, from the 2nd newest newbie on here. Out of the ones possibly to avoid, I'd personally still give Curse a go. It's by far the best and most watchable non Peter Sellers / Steve Martin one in my opinion.
The first half of Trail is interesting if you like trying to fit the deleted scenes back into PP Strikes Again in your mind. (I still can't figure where "paper catches fire in the office scene" comes from though, the idea obviously recycled in Revenge!)

Curse doesn't really make any sense without Trail, though, since it's a continuation of Trail's story... and i'd strongly disagree with the statement that Curse was the best of the non-Sellers films... that honor, IMO, belongs to the first Steve Martin film... of course, there are many who'll disagree with me on that, though, i'm sure...
