So, Mr. Stutterstut caught a cold and lost his voice when Clouseau accidentally hit him with a mace? I think I might be able to explain that. It's possible that Clouseau knocked the wind out of him, leading him to catch a cold and lose his voice. I don't think he had already lost his voice or caught a cold, because if he did, the Fassbender staff would have already known, including Mr. Shork the gardener and Mr. Bullock the cook (that's the name the character was credited as, even though his name was never mentioned, nor was Mrs. Japonica the maid with the blue blouse and the white skirt). No one could miss that.

There is another scene l like which takes place after this is when the bee lands on the piano and Clouseau hits it with the knights ball and chain and mrs Lovelilly says that was a priceless Stainway and the inspector says not anymore great stuff
