I just puchased this film on DVD, and I noticed something strange.
At the end of the movie, when the credits roll, you can still hear Clouseau and Simone talking about reading "beumps" on someone's head. I found that unusual, because my old VHS tape (produced in 1993, like the other PP films when "Son..." came out) doesn't contain this dialogue over the end credits. So, was this some kind of "deleted lines" that were cut after theatrical release, or just for VHS release, or something that was restored for the DVD release. I found it odd.
Also, anyone notice that in the trailer for "Revenge", the announcer refers to Clouseau as "Henry Clouseau" instead of "Jacque Clouseau"?

i did notice Henry... i dunno where that came from... but i'm not sure about your first question... i have noticed the lines you're talking about on the DVD, but i never had it on VHS, so i don't know what happened there... if only we had an MGM rep or Blake Edwards or somebody around here who could give us a good answer for things like that! i always thought the dialogue there on the DVD was pretty interesting, though... kinda cool...

I agree with brandon. In the VHS copy, by the time the cartoon Clouseau shoots, dialogue stops and music is heard. I was also surprised to hear more Sellers in REVENGE. Pleasently so, though. More Clouseau from Sellers can never hurt.

The extra dialogue was not in the theatrical print or any earlier video releases. I would imagine it was material that turned up when the print was remastered this last time. While I appreciate any extras, it does somewhat spoil the sweetness of the original ending.
