Well, Kline WAS considered for Clouseau, but Kline I think didn't want to.
But I remain convinced he would've been BRILLIANT had he had the right script and direction. Hasn't anyone seen A FISH CALLED WANDA? His Otto, slightly changed, is Clouseau! Perfect, I tell you.
Steve Martin is really a ridiculous replacement of a comedy legend's wonderful creation.

REURN for me, too. I like REVENGE too, but RETURN wins out because of the obvious energy Sellers brings into the role in RETURN. I love this movie so much.
So, RETURN here..

Is there a question about it? SON... Oh, I mean A SHOT A SHOT IN THE DARK is one of the best comedies of all time, Peter Sellers' best performance as Inspector Clouseau, and the penultimate Pink Panther movie. The 2006 MARTIN'S TRAVESTY EDITION is a disgrace, and its a shame that such movie got made... So, A SHOT for me.

A SHOT. Although both are equal, IMO. Only STRIKES AGAIN is better, really (IMO, again).
Anyway, A SHOT again...
