the image on the front cover is somewhat deceptive, since this biography doesn't really discuss much about the Pink Panther... there's a quick segment about how Sellers first developed Clouseau, and they play a few clips from TPP63 and ASITD, but beyond that, they kinda skim over most of the Panther-related stuff to get to the more obscure stuff, being true to the title of the program... i found this to be a very interesting piece... they talk extensively about Sellers' work on the Goon show, and they play clips from several of his films that were previously thought to be lost... i think i liked this program a bit more than "The Life and Death of Peter Sellers" just because it's more historically accurate, but i think the two programs would compliment each other nicely... TLADOPS at least got more into his personal life, whereas TUPS mostly focuses on his professional life... if you're only a Panther fan, you might skip this documentary, but if you're a Peter Sellers fan, i'd say this is very much worth your time/money...

I quite liked it, but it was too short. They establish at the start that Sellers had a very complex life (and that he was a complete ****head ), but then don't really go very far into it, it's just a whole load of people praising him, like you get on the Biography Channel. I'm still waiting for a worthy Sellers doc, personally...

oh, i agree... like i said, TLADOPS gets a lot more in depth about the complexities of his personal life; but even then, it's incomplete, and i feel like you're only getting a glipse, rather than the full story...
