so what did you think of Roger Moore's portrayal of Inspector Clouseau? personally, i thought he did a fantastic job... the ice bucket on his head was a great touch! he may not have completely nailed the character, but Moore's few minutes on screen owned the entire movie, IMO! btw, interesting tidbit: with this appearance, Roger Moore became the 3rd person to portray both James Bond (after Sean Connery and George Lazenby) and Jacques Clouseau (after Peter Sellers and Alan Arkin)...

I am a big fan of Sir Roger no matter what he does and I agree I hink he did fantastically well as Clouseau. He was one of the highlights of TCOTPP

One of the highlights? There's more than one highlight?

I'd say that Mancini's music and the Pink Panther cartoon is a highlight. Also the finale with the Littons is great.
Otherwise, the only thing worth in this film is really Roger Moore's Clouseau turn. It was rather good, considering it was a one-take. I think he should've worn a Clouseau moustache, or at least someone voice-overed his voice to be more Clouseau like (a capable one actually, not the cheap knock-off from TRAIL). Anyways, it was fine. It showed that, Clouseau was still alive, in another form. Like telling us Sellers was alive, in another form...

One of the highlights? There's more than one highlight? David Niven is another.

I like it how they included his character as it seems more connected to TPP 63. I suppose that could be classed as a bad thing as some pink panther fans probably dont like the idea of them being connected.

All respect to Roger Moore, the perfect cameo appearance in my opinion.
It may be a dream, but I do kind of recall Roger Moore appearing as Clouseau in some kind of comedy clip wearing the Clouseau hat and moustache! Someone told me it could have been an old Muppet Show episode, but I'm not sure!
