How do you feel about the character of Dreyfus being played by another actor?
I think Kevin Kline's Dreyfus was one of the big highlights of the TPP06 and to be honest was a bit dissapointed he was replaced. But now the movie has such an impressive cast I think it could be really good - Andy Garcia, Alfred Molina, Aishwarya Rai, Steve Martin, Jean Reno, Emily Mortimer and John Cleese.
I'm really happy about Cleese's casting although I did want a bit of continuity in the series.

to be honest, i wasn't terribly fond of Kline's portrayal of Dreyfus... the whole thing seemed kinda stiff to me, and i hated his line delivery most of the time... Cleese talks a bit more smoothly most of the time, i think, but i can see him at least using some of the same mannerisms Kline employed... replacing Kline with Cleese in my mind seems to be a fairly painless idea... i'm picturing Dreyfus now, i suppose, with a similar feel to the character Cleese played in "The Out-of-Towners" (which also, coincidentally, starred Steve Martin)...
Kline did a decent enough job, but i'm betting Cleese will be a significant improvement - especially if Dreyfus ends up going mad in the end! ;D

John Cleese is a good election in the role of Dreyfus.
